At CSEI, I have served as an architect and project lead on a number of .NET projects. - Developed a system to track and manage fleets of trucks and trailers from a central location. This initially saved CIBM $40,000 - $60,000 that they were planning to spend to purchase similar software. As a result, this software is being used by several other business units, resulting in ever-increasing unplanned savings. When I left, over $350,000 in annual license fees had been saved, and a branched version was being deployed to facilitate IT Standards adherence. After serving three years on the Executive Committee, two as Vice President, I was appointed president in July 2005. We are currently making arrangements to make the group a legal corporation with non-profit status. In addition to scheduling and running our monthly meetings, I also plan our annual Deeper in .NET conference, where we bring in a number of national speakers to talk about the most relevant and interesting topics in the .NET arena. INETA Technology Committee (www.ineta.org) INETA is the International .NET Association, which was created to help local .NET users groups with their organization by supplying speakers, books and prizes. Wisconsin Microsoft Technical Community (www.wi-mtc.org) In 2004, I helped co-found the WI MTC. WI MTC is geared towards helping professionals who specialize in any of a variety of Microsoft technologies, and is the parent group of the WI .NET Users Group, the Chippewa Valley .NET Users Group, the Fox Valley .NET Users Group, and the WI Windows Users Group. Each member group is managed separately, but the parent group allows us to pool our resources more effectively so that we may better serve the community.
